An auction of 358 acres in Hall County, Neb., saw strong bidding for irrigated cropland. The Sept. 21 auction featured a total of five tracts located northeast of Wood River, Nebraskas.
Tract 1: 78 acres with 76 acres of cropland, a SRPG* of 67 and an 8" well with electric motor and 8" irrigated pipe. It sold for $10,200 an acre.
Tract 2: 40 acres consisting of 16 acres of hay land, a SRPG of 69.2 with the remainder of the ground in pasture and building site. Sold for $8,000 an acre.
Tract 3: 40 acres with 30 acres of irrigated cropland, a SRPG of 67 with the remainder farmstead and grass. It has an 8" irrigation well with a diesel powerunit and 8" irrigated pipe. It sold for $10,600 per acre.
Tract 4: 118 acres consisting of 90 acres dryland cropland with the remainder a creek and trees. Sold for 7,750 per acre.
Tract 5: 82 acres with 56 acres dryland cropland with the remainder hay meadow and trees. Sold for $6,000 an acre.
