A July 9 auction saw 80 acres in Poweshiek County, Iowa, sell for $880,000 or $11,000 an acre. The farm was located about five miles northwest of Montezuma. It was offered in two tracts but sold as a single unit. It consisted of 65 tillable acres with a cropland CSR2 of 61.2 versus the county cropland average of 67.0. The remaining 15 acres featured a new farmstead, including a five-bedroom home built in 2007, insulated shop, grain bins and pond.
