$11,000 per acre in Western Illinois

March 29 auction in Warren Co., Ill., saw cropland selling for as much as $11,000 an acre. The offering consisted of 225.5 acres with 145 contiguous acres located 7 miles east of Roseville.

Tract 1: 65 acres; 100% tillable; PI 144.1 with 147 maximum per Illinois Bulletin 811. It brought $11,000 an acre.

Tract 2: 66 acres; 98% tillable; PI 138.7. It sold for $9,800 an acre.

Tract 3: 13.5 acres; homestead with farm house build in mid-1830s, needing maintenance and not currently inhabitable. It sold for $3,300 an acre.

Tract 4: 81 acres located 4 miles northeast of Roseville; 60 acres in cropland; 12 acres CRP at $139.29 per acre per year through September 2017; PI 122.8. It sold for $6,200 an acre.
