$1,131 to $2,083 per acre in North-Central Oklahoma

An Aug. 10 auction of two farms totaling 280 acres near Enid, Okla., brought a total of $431,000. The first farm, located northwest of Enid in Garfield Co., featured 120 acres. It offered 90 tillable acres and Class II and III soils. Balance of the land is in grass, trees, streams and ponds. It sold for $250,000 an acre or about $2,083 an acre.

The second farm was located near Pond Creek in Grant Co., and offered a total of 160 acres. There were 115 acres tillable with Class I, II and III soils. The remainder of the offering was in ponds, streams and grass pasture.
