$4,700 and $6,300 in Central Iowa

A July 11 auction of 115 acres in Story County, Iowa, saw the two tracts sell for $6,300 and $4,700, respectively. The ground was located west of Rhodes. It consisted of two tracts, which sold separately.

Tract 1: 79 acres; 54 acres tillable; 11.7 acres in CRP, which expires September 2018 and pays $151.20 per acre annually; cropland CSR2 67.3 (81.1 county average); $4,700 per acre.

Tract 2: 36 acres; 29 acres tillable; 2.8 acres in CRP,  which expires September 2023 and pays $326.32 annually; cropland CSR2 75.0 versus 81.1 county average: $6,300.
