An 80-acre farm brought $5,300 an acre at a Sept. 26 auction. The land was located seven miles northeast of Centralia or seven miles west of Mexico, Mo, in Audrain County. It offered 60 acres of level cropland under current cultivation. USDA's FSA reports the farm has the potential of 75 tillable acres. Currently there are about 15 acres in grass and pasture that could be converted to cropland. The offering included a farmstead as well.
Handling the auction was Boyd Harris of Farmers National Compnay, Centralia, MO, 573-682-6500.
