The first tract of 73 was located on the north side of Newton with 25.5 acres within the city limits and is platted and zone residential. Balance of the property is zone agricultural. It had 72 tillable acres can carried a CSR2 of 75.4. Its CSR was 71.3 compared to the county average CSR of 64.1. It brought $8,600 an acre.
The second tract of 85 acres was located about 2 miles east of Newton. It featured 84.7 tillable acres and carried a CSR2 of 62.8 and a CSR of 58.3 versus the county average CSR of 64.1. The field was shaped irregularly. It sold for $5,650 an acre.
