The Dec. 7 auction of 171 acres in Miami Co., Ind., saw 167 crop acres bring an average of about $7,596 an acre. The offering was located a half mile south of Bunker Hill and included a 4-acre farmstead.
The offering consisted of four tracts. Tracts 1 and 2 sold together for $7,472 an acre. They totaled 147 total acres with about 144 acres considered tillable. The corn PI for the two tracts averaged about 147.9.
A third 20-acre, 98% tillable piece sold for $7,750 an acre. It's corn PI was 149.3.
The 4-acre farmstead brough $69,000 total.
