A March 15 auction of 310 acres in Greene and Guthrie counties, Iowa, saw prices range from $8,500 an acre to $9,150 an acre for the two tracts of land offered. The land was located about one mile north of Bagley.
Tract 1, located in Greene Co., featured 160 acres with 156 acres listed as tillable and a steel machine shed. It carried a CSR2 on the cropland of 87.5, compared to the county cropland CSR2 average of 80.1. It sold for $8,500 an acre.
Tract 2, located across the road from tract 1 and in Guthrie Co., featured 150 gross acres with 146 acres tillable. It's cropland soils carried a CSR2 of 84.4 compared to the Guthrie Co. cropland average of 61.2. It sold for $9,150 an acre.
