$9,025 to $9,300 per acre in Central Iowa

A Sept. 22 auction saw three tracts of quality Jasper Co., farmland located east and north of Prairie City, Iowa, bring $9,025 to $9,300 an acre.

Tract 1: 66.5 acres, all tillable, CSR2 84 (county averag cropland CSR2 67.8), $9,025 an acre.

Tract 2: 137.5 acres, 133 acres tillable, CSR2 85.4, $9,300 per acre.

Tract 3: 237 acres, 215 acres tillable, 14.5 acres in hay, CSR2 82.9, grain bins and tiled, $9,200 per acre.

In addition, the auction featured three tracts featuring average-quality cropland.

Tract 4: 80 acres, 69 acres tillabe, CSR2 67.8, $6,000 per acre.

Tract 5: 60 acres, 58 acres tillable, CSR2 68.8, $6,500 per acre.

Tract 6: 60 acres, 55 acres tillable, CSR2 71.6, $5,600 per acre.

Tracts 5 and 6 were located northeast of Mingo.
