A Nov. 16 auction in Hancock Co., Iowa, saw 160 acres sell for $9,400 an acre. The tract featured 153.5 tillable acres and a soil CSR2 rating of 82.7 versus the county average cropland CSR2 of 78.7.
The land was part of a larger offering featuring a total of 160 acres offered and sold as two tracts. The other tract also consisted of 160 acres with 153 acres tillable. It included a half-acre bin site with four grain bins, one with dryer, totaling 35.000 bushels. The CSR2 on the cropland was 53.5. It sold for $7,150 an acre.
Both tracts were pattern tiled.
